Born into a military family, Attorney Tristan Simpson has lived all over the country. However, when her Father retired from the military, her family made Melbourne their home. Attorney Simpson is a graduate of Palm Bay High School and thereafter attended Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University (FAMU), where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. Before making it to law school she earned her Master of Science degree at the University of Central Florida. Her law studies were completed at North Carolina Central University School of Law where she received her Juris Doctor.
After graduating from law school, Attorney Simpson advocated for children and families with her work for the Guardian ad Litem Program and the Department of Children and Families in various Florida counties, including Brevard County. In addition to her work in dependency litigation, Attorney Simpson has represented clients in the private sector in all aspects of family law. Attorney Simpson is the resident authority on custody matters involving abuse allegations as well as high conflict custody cases at Platt Hopwood Russell & Cole. Her experience with both the Guardian ad Litem Program and the Department of Children and Families give her the advantage of knowing what her clients can expect in those types of cases so she can advocate more effectively for the client.
